*So the last few months have been a complete blur between being a wife, mama to three kiddos and a full time nursing student! Now that school is over I've been able to edit a few posts that have been patiently waiting "in que" for months to be released. Well the time has come! We had a mini party for Adele's 1st birthday last night. She was the first Grimes kid to dig into the cake!

Isn't this the cutest little seat?I got it off of Craigslist last weekend. Adele just loves sitting in it while Eden and Noah entertain her.

All Smiles

Adele has been smiling, cooing, and laughing for weeks now but as soon as I pull out the camera I  get nothing but frowns and awkward stares.  Well, I finally captured her on video last night smiling away!

Does this make my Butt Look Big?

Well now that our little "Deli-bean" is weighing in at 9 lbs I feel more comfortable putting her in cloth diapers. They still kind of engulf her little body but I think it's pretty darn cute! This particular type of diaper is an organic tie-back 

nappie. It's super soft and great for naps and night-time.

Adele Vivienne

A few people have asked how we pronounce our little girl's name so I thought I'd clear things up. Adele is pronounced (Uh-del) and Vivienne (Viv-ee-en), with the emphases on the last syllable. The name Adele means noble and I thought these verses were perfect examples of things to pray for in a daughter:

• And now, my daughter, don't be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of noble character. Ruth 3:11

• 
A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. Proverbs 12:4

• A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Proverbs 31:10

Vivian was my grandmother's name. She was a woman of God and I loved her dearly. My grandmother went to be with the Lord a little over three years ago and I thought it would be nice to honor her by using her name. Vivian means "life" or "to be alive", I thought that was just beautiful. Adele, our noble little girl who is full of life.

The Grimes Family Has Grown by Two Feet!

Pete and I are proud to introduce Adele Vivienne Grimes! Born on April 27 at 10:07 pm, she weighed 7 pounds even and was 19 1/2 inches long. Our little girl made her appearance after two furious hours of labor....yeah it was intense! Everyone is doing great as we all are adjusting to our new little addition. The first installment of photos are from Adele's first 24 hours. More picture are coming soon. Enjoy!
