Seven Years Ago Today.....

...My honey and I were gettin hitched! I loved our Sunday morning garden wedding it was perfect....it was us. Here's to seven years baby, I wouldn't change a thing. 
 

 

Then and Now

It took all my will power and strengh as a mother to try and get the kids to sit still for more than 30 seconds so the more recent pics leave much to be desired but I think they're great anyways. Enjoy! Black and whites were taken in May 2009. Colored pics are from May 2010.

Everything's Coming up Grimes!

Alas the time has come. The time to reveal.....our living room. For those who are unfamilar of our home's humble beginning, here are a few pictures from February 2007.

The house was abandoned a year or so earlier.

Vintage Grimes

Three years ago....

Eden was not quite two and had to get daily injections to help prepare her for heart surgery. We were regulars at the Omaha Children's Hospital - seriously they should have given us a punch card!

I was pregnant with Noah and had just started nursing school at Nebraska Methodist College.

Pete and I bought our first house and were knee deep in major home renovations. Yep some things never change : )

Pete quit his job at CM's to work at Olive Branch with Mike.

Exciting times!

Vintage Pictures Part 1 - Eden at 5 months

I thought I'd start a series of classic pictures that would otherwise be long forgotten. I have a slew of pics ranging from the 1980's to today just waiting to be scanned and posted, and no one is safe! There's nothing like seeing yourself in some sweet neon-colored leg warmers or fabulously trendy MC Hammer pants (Pete you know what I'm talking about!) to brighten up the day. I'll be nice for now, here are some cute pictures of Eden from August of '05. I can see a lot of her in Adele.
